On behalf of the Commander and the Executive Committee of the post, we'd like to wish you and your family many blessings of peace, joy, and prosperity for 2018! TONIGHT: Bar Night! 7pm-1am
Come out for the $1 Buds or value-priced Highland Park Scotch and everything in between while enjoying our legendary camaraderie with your friends in a historic setting!

SUNDAY: WILD CARD WEEKEND AT THE POST!
The Art Deco Bar is open Sundays for NFL football and we do have "the package," so you can enjoy ALL THE GAMES! Come have a drink and some nosh and cheer on your favorite team with your comrades! Bar opens at 9:30 for the 10am game through the evening game.
MONDAY: SOCIAL & COMMITTEES NIGHT!
Join us for dinner starting at 5:30pm.
Social & Individual Committee Meetings at 7pm.
IMPORTANT: We kindly ask able-bodied members to park at the overflow parking: Hollywood Bowl Lot D on the corner of Milner and Highland Ave to allow our elderly and handicapped ample parking opportunity.
RECENT POST NEWS:
Welcome to the Post 43 family, legendary actor and Vietnam-era Army veteran, Paul Sorvino and his wife, Dee Dee. Paul is well known for his numerous Film & Television roles including Big Paulie in the Martin Scorcese classic, Goodfellas. Dee Dee is an Indiana native (home of Legion headquarters) and longtime Auxiliary member. Post 43 continues to be "Post of the Stars!"
Thanks to all our members who contributed new, unwrapped toys to our Toys For Tots holiday toy drive and made sure less fortunate kids in our community had a Merry Christmas! Our American Legion Auxiliary Unit 43 once again marched in the 2017 Hollywood Christmas Parade along with other Legion family members who also handled the Toy Soldier balloon! The parade was broadcast locally on KTLA. MORE PHOTOS
Executive Committee member Brian Fagan and several other Post 43 members participated in the Wreaths Across America Christmas wreath laying on Dec. 16 at the Los Angeles National Cemetery. MORE PHOTOS.

Theater renovations continue apace with the completion of all sodablasting to reveal the original board-formed concrete accents, painting, and preparation for installation of new theater and house HVAC and electrical. The Hollywood Legion Theater renovation is on track for completion in March! More to come! Click HERE to donate and support our effort to create the first state of the art veteran owned and operated cinema and event venue in Hollywood!
Special thanks to all our members who came out on Dec. 28 to participate in another Post 43 Demo Party! The executive conference room is being expanded and remodeled to accommodate larger meetings and events in the meeting room, allowing for more rentals and more effective use by the members! Our volunteer labor has once again saved our post tens of thousands of dollars in demo costs. (photo by Jeff Daly)
The Legion Family children were treated to a special visit by Santa during our annual holiday dinner and raffle cohosted by Auxiliary Unit 43 Dec. 8 following a delicious Prime Rib feast prepared by our very own Chef Horst. The smiles will last all year long! MORE PHOTOS
Our new American Legion Riders Chapter 43 continues to grow under the leadership of chapter president, Ronnie Womble. The riders have "patched-in" more than 10 members and growing. For more information on the riders and to find out how to join, click HERE.
