Moving 9/11 Memorial Dinner & Program held at Post 43 on 16th Anniversary of Attacks

Post 43 presented a solemn and moving program Mon., Sept. 11, 2017, during our usual social night to mark the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States and the day that began America's longest war. A "Missing Man Table" presentation was given by Lt. Col. David Worley, USAF (ret.), followed by our keynote speaker, Rudy Reyes, former Recon Marine, Afghanistan and Iraq veteran, and actor known for playing himself in the HBO miniseries, Generation Kill. To conclude the program, we welcomed our newest member, Army PFC Max Nelson, son of Post 43 member, Nelson Rockford. PFC Nelson recently graduated from Cavalry Scout school and will be deploying to Afghanistan soon to continue prosecuting America's "Global War on Terror." We wish Max Godspeed and offer our prayers for his safety.  Photos by Keven Freedman and Dennis Kee)
