Happy New Year, Post 43 members!

As 1st Vice Commander and Chair of the Membership Committee, I wanted to reach out and wish you all a prosperous and fulfilling year ahead. I am grateful to serve this organization and its members, and I am committed to making 2023 a year of growth, connection, and support for our Post.

One of the key initiatives I am focusing on as Chair of the Membership Committee is welcoming new members and helping them get involved in the life of our Post. To that end, I am pleased to invite all new members to attend our New Member Orientation on the evening of the National Commander's visit, January 22nd at 5 PM. At this event, you will learn about the history of Post 43, the various programs and activities we offer, and the role of the Legion Families in supporting our veterans.

As we move forward into 2023, I also want to emphasize the importance of continuing and completing buddy checks on all members, identifying those who may need help pursuing their military benefits, getting new members involved in Post committees, and acting on feedback from membership surveys. These are all key ways that we can support and strengthen our community.

I hope to see you all at the New Member Orientation and at other events throughout the year. Here's to a great 2023 for Post 43!
