Jere Romano Celebration of Life 16May2026
In Honor of Jere.
He lived a life of quiet strength and loud devotion, a man whose presence felt like a steady anchor for everyone anchored to him.
Jere didn’t just hold titles; he embodied the virtues they represented.
As a Marine, he carried a sense of duty that never left him. As an officer of the law, he was a protector not just by profession, but by nature—someone who stood in the gap for others without a second thought.
His heart was a wide-open door, and at the very center of that heart was his wife, Martha. Together, they shared a bond that weathered every season, a partnership built on the kind of love and faithfulness that served as an example to everyone around them.
Whether it was through his dedication to his American Legion brothers and sisters or his unwavering love for his mother and children, he lived with an open-handed generosity.
He was the person who saw a need and filled it, the one who walked alongside those who were struggling until they found their footing again. Jere was faithful in the truest sense of the word—faithful to his country, faithful to his community, and above all, faithful to the family he cherished.
While we feel the heavy weight of his absence, there is a profound peace in knowing he stayed with us until that beautiful day when The Lord called him home.
He has traded his earthly watch for eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of service that will continue to ripple through the lives of every person he touched.
He was a good man, a devoted husband to Martha, and a faithful servant. He will be deeply missed.
Toksa, Jere.
Go rest high.
Your watch has ended.
Your work on Earth is done.
